Colleen Boehmer's sister Lisa LaFlamme is a Canadian TV Journalist and former chief anchor for CTV National News. Let's read more to find out about her siblings.

The anchor was born in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada to father David LaFlamme and mother Kathleen LaFlamme.

LaFlamme has had five Gemini award nominations in the Best News Anchor category and several RTDNA awards, as well as a 1999 Galaxi Award from the Canadian Cable Television Association.

In March 2014, LaFlamme won a Canadian Screen Award for 'Best National Newscast' and 'Best News Anchor' for CTV National News. In 2016, she was made a member of the Order of Ontario. In 2019, Lisa was named an officer of the Order of Canada.

LaFlamme has also got several honorary degrees which include: the University of Windsor(2018), University of Ottawa (2014), and Wilfrid Laurier University (2006).

Colleen Boehmer is a sibling of the famous Canadian News Anchor Lisa LaFlamme.

The anchor began her career at CTV's Kitchener affiliate CKCO in 1989 as a copywriter and script assistant.

She joined CTV National News in 2003 as a foreign correspondent and covered many national and international conflicts and events.

LaFlamme has covered every Canadian federal election since 1997 and every Olympics since 2006.

In September 2011, LaFlamme was promoted to the sole anchor. However, in June 2022, she informed that her position had been eliminated by Bell, Canada which is the parent company of CTV.

Who are Lisa's sisters Joanne McKenzie and Christine Lang? 

The former CTV National News anchor grew up with her three siblings in Kitchener with their parents.

However, there is very little information about the sisters Joanne McKenzie and Christine Lang.

She joined St. Mary's High School and after completing high school she enrolled at the University of Ottawa for her graduation.

So far, Lisa has interviewed many notable international personalities such as Prince Harry, Paul Martin, Boris Johnson, and many others.

The 58-year-old veteran news anchor recently left the position of the position of Chief Anchor and Senior Editor in the CTV National News.

She expressed her shock and sadness and said she was "blindsided" due to the end of a more than 30-year-long contract by Bell Media, in a video that she posted on her Twitter account.

The CTC National News claims to have terminated LaFlamme's contract because of the changing audience patterns. Omar Sachedina, a national affairs correspondent, will replace her as a lead anchor. Omar is honored to track the veteran journalist.

There are rumors about Lisa starting to work on a new project however, the information is not clear and valid.

Lisa is an ambassador of PLAN International and visited remote areas to be aware of child rights in assistance with Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan.

LaFlamme has received multiple RTDNA honors, a 1999 Galaxi Award from the Canadian Cable Television Association, five nominations for Gemini awards in the Best News Anchor category, and more.
