Doug Ludazer's Daughter Kyla Got Diagnosed With Epilepsy
Doug Luzader's daughter, Kyla, got diagnosed with epilepsy in January 2020. It is a condition that affects the brain and causes frequent seizures, the worst possible moment for any parent.
On January 21, 2020, the three-year-old Kyla suddenly fell off her chair while having breakfast and began convulsing on the floor. Immediately after, Luzader's wife, Jennifer, called the ambulance, and Kyla was taken to the hospital.
The medical team discovered that Kyla had epilepsy. Then what followed was an emotional rollercoaster journey for the couple. Their 3-year-old daughter spent several weeks in the hospital.
As November is considered National Epilepsy Awareness Month, the Fox News journalist shared his family's journey and fight with epilepsy. He tried to figure out how her three-year-old daughter won over the disease.
The 54-year-old Fox News correspondent shared some ideas on treating the disease. He stated that they completely changed Kyla's diet, feeding her only a ketogenic diet and changing the kitchen to a paramedical room.
Kyla Is Now 5 Years Old And Is Improving
After following a strict diet plan and medications and spending several weeks in the hospital bed, Kyla's health has improved significantly.
Five-year-old Kyla is now living an everyday life and has joined kindergarten. She is delighted to be back with her friends and is still following a strict diet, which she calls her 'magic diet.'
Kyla's recovery is quite remarkable and inspiring for many parents whose children are suffering from this disease. With Kyla's recovery, the family has also rediscovered their life. We wish Kyla a speedy recovery. May God bless her.
