Ethan Hall, aka The Hiccups Kid, wowed judges in The Voice Australia. His performance of the Sarah Brightman's 1985 hit single Pie Jesu melted the hearts of the judges of the show. He came to the spotlight in 2015 after his performance of the national anthem at a baseball game went viral.

The 13-year-old's performance was telecasted in the fourth episode of the show on April 25. He was able to turn all four chairs and subsequently chose team Jessica Mauboy.  He has previously worked alongside Jessica and Kate Ceberano.

After his viral video of the national anthem performance, Ethan was called and gave interviews for numerous portals including Channel 10 and Good Morning Britain. The kid has not looked back ever since.

Ethan's mom is Kylie Hall. He has mentioned in an interview with Studio 10 that his mother taught him to stop hiccups by pulling the ear lobes and drinking a glass of water. He mentioned that the solution was found on page 10 of a Google search.
