President Emmanuel Macron announced on Twitter on Monday that a French journalist named Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff had been killed while working in Ukraine. This is the latest of several journalists killed or injured during Russia's invasion.
As per the reports he was there to show the reality of the war in Ukraine. The reporter was "victimized by shrapnel" while covering the humanitarian operation in an armored vehicle, according to BFMTV.
In the event, his colleague Maxime Brandstaetter was slightly injured, but their 'fixer,' Oksana Leuta, remained unharmed. Mr, Leclerc-Imhoff was in Ukraine for the second time since the Russian incursion began on February 24. According to BFMTV, and had worked for the channel for six years.

According to Serhiy Haidai, Russian forces shelled an armored evacuation vehicle, killing French reporter Frédéric Leclerc Imhoff, who was covering the effort.

According to Serhiy Haidai, the commander of the Luhansk regional military administration, Leclerc-Imhoff was working in Ukraine for cable channel BFM TV in the Luhansk region.
Leclerc-Imhoff was killed after he was hit in the neck while seated in an evacuation vehicle that had come under fire. The report says he died on the road to Lyssychansk in the Severodonetsk region of Ukraine.

Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff Death Cause
CNN affiliate BFM TV released a statement saying they are "deeply saddened" by the death of Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff. The statement further reads on Monday, he was hit by shrapnel while accompanying a humanitarian mission in an armored truck.
He was joined by his colleague Maxime Brandstaetter, who was slightly injured in the attack, and their "fixer" Oksana Leuta, who was not hurt.
