Brent Renaud was the former New York Times contributor as per his Wikipedia bio. He was a journalist, writer, documentary filmmaker, and photojournalist from the United States.

He had collaborated with his brother Craig to create films for HBO and Vice News. He is a Peabody and DuPont Award-winning filmmaker who has spent the last two decades working alongside his brother Craig on films and television shows.

According to IMbd, the Renaud Brothers are best known for telling humanistic stories from the world's hotspots. They covered the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the earthquake in Haiti, political turmoil in Egypt and Libya, the fight for Mosul, extremism in Africa, cartel violence in Mexico, and the Central American youth refugee crisis.

Many major awards in television and journalism have been awarded for their work, including a Peabody Award, two Columbia DuPont Awards, two Overseas Press Club Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award, an IDA Award, a DGA nomination for Best Director, and many Emmy nominations.

Journalist Brent Renaud Killed In Ukraine

Brent Renaud was a journalist from the United States who was killed in Ukraine. In NY Post, authorities said that a man was killed when the Russian military opened fire on a vehicle near the Romanivsky Bridge in Irpin.

According to Kyiv Chief of Police Andrey Nebitov, two additional journalists were injured and sent to the hospital. Though he was first described as a New York Times journalist, the NY Post spokesman stated that he was not on assignment for the newspaper at the time of his death.

However, the picture of a Times press credential and his passport has been surrounded by the internet. Thus, the official said that the picture was from many years ago when he was working for Times.
