Parijita Bastola on The Voice is a 17-year old singer from Nepal currently living in Maryland, USA.

In a blind audition Tuesday night, September 26, Parijita Bastola gets all four coaches on "The Voice" to turn their chairs, and she surely leaves three of them extremely "jealous" when she makes her final decision. Many people want to know about her origins and nationality.

There have been several record-breaking and historic moments on "The Voice." Last season, the first group to win the competition was Girl Named Tom. Carter Rubin, who won at the age of 15, set a record for the youngest male champion a few seasons before.

On the latest edition of the show airing on September 27, another historic moment was recorded. In season 22, "The Voice" coaches Camila Cabello, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend were all blown away by Maryland vocalist Parijita Bastola's Blind Audition performance.

Parijita Bastola is proud to be the first Nepalese-American contender to get all four judges to turn as the blind auditions continued "The Voice" season 22. 

A lot of people are intrigued by Parijita Bastola's nationality since, even though she lives in Severna Park, by the looks of her, she doesn't appear to be an American.

After being selected as a contestant on NBC's famed American television program "The Voice" in 2022, she gained fame. The talented Parijita sang "Jealous" by Labrinth. The coaches were astounded to learn Bastola was so young considering her mature voice. Bastola was born on the 22nd of March in 2005 and is currently 17. 

After the audition, they gave her a standing ovation, and Cabello said that it was her favorite audition song thus far. She and Bastola shared a similar view on the value of incorporating one's heritage into music.

Bastola even gave the coaches some rudraksha beads from Nepal so they could experience a little of her culture. The teen had to choose her coach at that point. Her family had been cheering her on from the sidelines, and she had decided to go with John Legend.

Before hitting the stage, Parijita stated that her sister, who had grown up in India and was estranged from the rest of the family, had given her the idea to perform an R&B song.

Singer-songwriter Prajita is the main vocalist of the band "Bastola" (previously the band 'soul'). She has also performed solo, singing the national anthem and a version of Adele's "All I Ask" at the Nepal American Community Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

Parijita Bastola has been living in Maryland, USA, with her parents, mother Bira Tiwari and father Pankaj Bastola and sister Priyanka.

Her parents are both from Nepal; her father is from Jhapa, Parijita's hometown, while her mother is from Kathmandu. Her family has a small restaurant, which they close on Mondays so they can watch "The Voice."

Singing came naturally to her after growing up in a large family with many performer friends. Bastola began singing when she was four years old.

She was incredibly dynamic in the middle school plays and is well-known for her amazing voice and stage presence; nevertheless, she had never been a member of a band before a guitarist caught sight of her during a presentation.

Bastola excels at lead vocals and has contributed her skills to two bands throughout the years. Since they've been playing together for a year, Parijita's current band, "soul," has demonstrated its versatility by performing R&B, funk, and new music covers.
