Saturdays is an upcoming-of-age comedy series set to premiere on March 2023 on Disney Channel. Disney Channel ordered the pilot episode in 2021, and after a few months, the series was officially picked up. 

Following that, production began with the addition of two new cast members, Tim Johnson Jr., and Peyton z. Basnight, who was not present in the original pilot episode.

Norman Vance Jr. created and produced the show; Marsai Martin is also an executive producer.

The show is also named after the skating rink and hangout spot where 14-year-old protagonist Paris Johnson (Danielle Jalade) has been practicing since age four. 

Paris will prepare for and compete in skating competitions with her "We-B-Girlz" team in the show.

Paris Is The Leader Of A Skate Crew In Saturdays

Paris believes roller skating is a way of life in which she can make friends, create epic routines, and become a member of skating's elite.

The show follows Paris, who has been sharpening her skills on the cool parquet floor of Saturdays, a local skating rink operated by a former '90s hip-hop backup dancer since she was four.

It is the place to show and prove yourself, with neon lights, a galaxy-painted rink, and killer D.J. spinning the latest music.

Paris is the captain of a skate crew who is determined to take them to the top. She does, however, have sickle cell disease, and when it flares up, it will take every ounce of determination she can muster to prove the doubters wrong, including her worried family.
