Summer's mother recalled the incident of that day and said she was planting flowers. Summer was reportedly playing with her two siblings just before she disappeared from her family's home.
Furthermore, Candus told WKRN and WJHL-TV that her boys were playing together until Summer went downstairs. There was no reply when the mother called Summer a couple of times. So, Candus went down to check and she was nowhere in sight.
