Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, popularly known as Tove Lo, is a Swedish singer and actress, who is known for her bold and raw take on pop culture.
Born in October 1987, the singer started writing songs at just the age of 10. She joined a Stockholm music school, Rytmus Musikergymnasiet at the age of 15. Her music career started to burgeon after graduating from music school. She formed a band named 'Tremblebee' with other members from the school and started to perform on stage. She left the band to focus on pop music and solo tracks.
The singer released her first solo song 'Love Ballad in 2012 and 'Habits' in 2013 which gave her massive followers and public attention. She made her debut with Universal Music with the song 'Out of Mind' in 2013. She started doing international shows and tours in London and United States.
Lo released her first extended play 'Truth Serum' in 2014 which was a great success and she was referred to as "a pop star in the waiting" for the same. In September 2014, she released her first album 'Queen of the Clouds' which was at number 14 on the US Billboard 200.
There has been no stopping by for the songwriter since then. In 2021 she made her acting debut with the Swedish movie 'The Emigrants'.
