The GBI revealed on Tuesday that Henry Fredrick Wise, also known as Hoss Wise, had been confirmed as Stacey Chahorski's killer using ancestry DNA. On the day of her murder in 1988, the killer was 34 years of age.
Investigators claim that Wise was burned alive in a vehicle crash that occurred in 1999 at the South Carolina speedway Myrtle Beach. He had a criminal record in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina that included theft, violence, and hindering a cop.
Fox5 stated that a living relative of Wise's participated in supplying DNA testing, which revealed a match with the original DNA thought to be the killer at the crime site more than 30 years ago.
